"Better late than never — far better." - NEW YORK TIMES Afrocubism, comprised of a virtual who’s who of artists from Cuba and West Africa is the result of Nick Gold’s original 1996 brainchild for the Buena Vista Social Club. This 13 member supergroup has finally come to fruition with artists from Cuba and West Africa, including Toumani Diabate, Elias Ochoa, Bassekou Kouyate, Djelimady Tounkara, Kasse Mady Diabaté and more. Following last year’s sold-out show, this will be an evening of joyful jams and improvisations with open-hearted musicians merging two musical worlds into one.
