“Levy’s haunting voice, filled with the heart and passion of a people who have survived centuries of persecution and misunderstanding, is certain to attract a huge following. Take advantage of the opportunity to hear her now, before she becomes idolized in the manner of Cesaria Evora and other great artists whose voices seem to sing directly from their soul.” -- SAN FRANCISCO EXAMINER This Ladino star was introduced to the Judeo-Spanish music of Spain at a very early age, her father was a leading figure in the world of research of the Judeo-Spanish culture, whose roots stretch back to 15th century Spain. Ladino continues to be recognized as one of the most romantic musical traditions of all time, and Ms. Levy weaves traditional Ladino with flamenco creating a stunning tapestry of vocal sounds. Her hypnotic and haunting voice matched with her powerhouse performance is not to be missed. In this all new program she will be joined by the great Turkish multi-instrumentalist Omar Faruk Tekbilek.
