President Obama has called education equality “the civil rights issue of our time.” Parents, teachers, funders, students – everyone knows the key to a competitive U.S. workforce in the future is improving public education. Join former CBS News Correspondent Jacqueline Adams as she probes a series of innovations intended to fix what’s wrong with panelists Kahlil Byrd, CEO of Students First; Josh Zoia, Superintendent of KIPP NYC and founder of the KIPP schools in Lynn, MA; Reena Bhatia, Vice President of Education Programs of the LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation), which provides low-cost financing options for school construction, freeing up more funds for the classroom; and Priscilla Campbell, a classroom teacher at East Hampton High School, President of the East Hampton Teacher’s Association and Chairperson of the Long Island President’s Council.
