A Small Good Thing- USA/Berkshire, 2015, 71 min

Autumnal AUTUMNAL takes place over a day in late November on a farm in Western Massachusetts. A rooster and a farmer each go about their business. Eventually the rooster becomes part of the farmer’s business and meets his fate. While the events depicted are documentary in nature, the look and sound of the film are based in non-fiction forms, and, in particular, the spare style of the great French filmmaker Robert Bresson.

A Small Good Thing
How can we live in a better way? For the longest time, we’ve been living as though the more we have -- the more money, the more goods, the more territory -- the happier we’ll be. Following six people in one community over a year, A SMALL GOOD THING looks at the small truths that are creating the New American Dream.
