Are you auditioning for a spring musical at your school? Or maybe preparing for auditions to a special performing arts program or high school? Take success into your own hands! Wheelock Family Theatre and Boston Lyric Opera are teaming up to show you the keys to a fun and positive audition experience. With WFT’s expertise in acting, presentational and movement skills, and BLO’s strength in musicality and larger-than-life performances, this workshop combines all the important pieces of a great audition. Practice the process with input and feedback from professional teaching artists, expand your performance, character, and dance skills, and learn how opera can build your stage presence to help you stand out in a crowd. No experience needed! Held at WFT, this is a once-a-year opportunity to increase your confidence, try something new, and learn how to make the stage your own. Co-taught by Heather Gallagher (Boston Lyric Opera) and Grace Napier (Wheelock Family Theatre) with piano accompaniment by Christina Chao. Workshop culminates in an informal demonstration for family and friends.
