Other Holiday Favorites

Cheryl Wilson, Jim Gailloreto, and Jeremy Kahn team up for a program of holiday favorites that run the gamut from jazz tunes like “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” to classical pieces like “Oh Holy Night” to pop hits like “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” With original arrangements of all the afternoon’s songs, the group puts its own stamp on these familiar favorites. Cheryl Wilson – a member of the music faculties at Roosevelt University and UIC who has collaborated with artists as diverse as Michael Jackson, Mavis Staples, and Celine Dion – navigates this varied terrain with her versatile voice. Jim Gailloreto struts his stuff as he expertly showcases the colorful sounds of the woodwind family, including various saxophones and flutes. Pianist Jeremy Kahn tempers the afternoon’s wide-ranging program with a jazz flavor.

Doors at City Winery open at 11:00 A.M., and brunch will be available for purchase before and during the performance. Casual attire is encouraged.
