THE LARAMIE PROJECT is a breathtaking theatrical collage of the interview of the people involved in the life of Matthen Shepard. Matthew Shepard was a 21 year-old student at the University of Wyoming, whose severely beaten barely breathing body was found tied to a fence outside of Laramie, Wyoming. Matthew was gay and was assaulted because of his sexual preference. The Tectonic Theatre Members interviewed the people in the town and in Matthew's life.. The story explores the humanity and how far it can sink and the heights of human compassion.
