If you really think about it, we have entered the season when all of us start manufacturing resolutions in our minds. Resolutions that are founded upon changes and adjustments in our outward appearance or even our careers. They say that the fixation on all that isn’t ‘quite right’ will somehow yield for a better life next year; despite the fact that we all know life usually has a way of surprising us…
Unfortunately, our fallen human condition usually ends up taking over and exaggerating all our problems so much that we completely lose sight of all the good that has taken place in the year gone by. This precious season (that could be a time filled with gratitude and praise) is unfortunately twisted and turned into a time of critical self condemnation and negativity.
Year after year after year… this is just a small example of how we let the enemy steal our JOY.
The bible says that the 'JOY of the Lord is our strength.' God is very aware that it is strength and courage that gets us through life, not the ‘false’ perfection that the world seems to demand from us ALL the time. We seem to forget this simple fact of life so easily; which is why me are putting extra effort to manifest the JOY of the Lord this Christmas season. We believe that even though life can be very difficult at times He 'works all things for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.'
