Colum McCann hosts a night of poems by Irish-American poets read by Alice McDermott, Anne Enright, and Matthew Thomas and actresses Geraldine Hughes and Aedin Moloney, providing powerful reflections on Irish nationalism in America at the time of the Rising. Pulitzer Prize-winning poet and author Paul Muldoon debuts a new poem.

Located in the heart of New York's Greenwich Village, Glucksman Ireland House NYU is the center for Irish and Irish-American Studies at New York University, with courses in history, Irish language, literature, music, and politics. NYU undergraduates may pursue a minor or a B.A./M.A. in Irish and Irish-American Studies. Graduate students may earn a Masters in Irish and Irish-American Studies. For the New York community, GIH NYU presents a weekly public events series during the academic year, as well as a monthly traditional Irish music series. GIH is also the center for a major oral history of Irish America project and produces a weekly Glucksman Ireland House NYU Radio Hour on Saturdays, 9am to 10 am, on WNYE 91.5 FM in the tri-state area and on www.nyuirish.net/radiohour.
