Performance Space 122's Mobile Walking Tour is a free self-guided mobile tour that tells the unique history of contemporary performance in the Lower East Side. Users are led to five locations around the Lower East Side, which were each home to seminal moments in performance history. Each location features site-specific video content playable on your smartphone, discoverable via links and QR codes printed on iconic newspaper stands reminiscent of the Village Voice racks of old.

Featuring interviews from prominent artists and curators such as John Collins, Jack Ferver, Dean Moss, Katherine Profeta, Salley May, Mark Russell, Kaneza Schaal, Lucy Sexton and more! The tour begins at Performance Space 122 at 150 1st Avenue in Manhattan. We will kick off the month long project as a part of the Lower East Side History Month with a mass semi-guided tour and reception to follow.
