Set in three different hotel rooms a husband and wife tell their story, separate and alone. Kenneth Hoyle, an American businessman, sells defective baby formula in third world markets. And his wife, Barbara, talks about him, their marriage, and the incident that made this story their reality. In a play that progresses from intellectual cynicism to heartbreaking honesty, Baitz reveals the emotional and physical wounds we all encounter in the face of adversity and heartbreak.

"Directed by Luda Lopatina Solomon, this Bluebird Arts production features imaginative multimedia visual and sound design, and actors Dave Belden and Jaimelyn Gray bring fierce conviction to their storytelling."—Albert Williams, Chicago Reader

"As Barbara, Gray is articulate and empathetic, the heart of the piece."—Lauren Whalen, Chicago Theatre Beat

"...Solomon’s simple staging gives Belden and Gray lots of room to explore [the play's] complicated, emotional levels. Moreover, though the play is comprised of only monologues, they are well-written and well-acted..."— August Lysy, Chicago Critic
