Seoungho Jeoung, coffee shop-owner and amateur psychologist, suffers from amnesia. On the anniversary of his wife's death, when he does not open his coffee shop, Sangho Yoon visits, which revives Seoungho's memory. Sangho Yoon, who was damaged in the past, tries to heal his own mental wounds through the "Game of Truth" with Seoungho.

A real-life magician, Young-Sil is a reincarnation of Young-Sil Chang, an inventor from Korea's Chosun dynasty. As a nature lover, Young-Sil fights with his magic against villains of the environment. With his magic, Young-Sil purifies dirty water, makes fish out of a picture book, and revives a dead rabbit (which also blossoms a flower). He creates a dreamy, loving world with his magic of nature to recreate anything that was destroyed from our nature.

In the early 1950s, around the Pyongyang region, Sung-Min's father tells him to hide out down at Chum-Jie Kim's house in Seoul to avoid the "Fatherland Liberation War" (what we know as the Korean War). To do this, Sung-Min must abandon his wife, child, and his home. While Keum-Soon (his wife) tirelessly searches for him, Sung-Min slowly deteriorates physically and mentally. Will this small war-torn family ever reunite?
