Isaiah Sheffer, one of New York's greatest Renaissance men and a dear friend of IAC, left an indelible mark on the music, theater, television, radio, and culture across three decades in the Big Apple. He was the founder and artistic director of Symphony Space, the originator of Bloomsday on Broadway, and the comic genius behind the Thalia Follies. He hosted the popular WNYC program Selected Shorts and earned an Emmy nomination for his Road to the White House series on NBC. He was a husband and a father, and a mentor to many.

Through interviews with Morgan Freeman, Stephen Colbert, Leonard Nimoy, and many others, Art and Heart: The World of Isaiah Sheffer is an enduring portrait of a beloved figure in the arts community and in the hearts of many.

After the screening, please join us for a talk back on Isaiah Sheffer, Joyce's champion on Broadway, with the film's Executive Producers Gina Maria Leonetti and Isaiah's wife Ethel Sheffer; editor Lenny Friedman; and IAC Executive Director Aidan Connolly, who will moderate. There will be a reception in the gallery following the event.
