Join us for a screening of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 German, silent, horror classic, Nosferatu!  With a live score performed by the Invincible Czars from Austin, TX. Live music and the undead, just in time for Halloween.

The mysterious Count Orlok (Max Schreck) summons Thomas Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) to his remote Transylvanian castle in the mountains. The eerie Orlok seeks to buy a house near Hutter and his wife, Ellen (Greta Schroeder). After Orlok reveals his vampire nature, Hutter struggles to escape the castle and intervene in Orlok's plan.

This Expressionist masterpiece by one of the master auteurs of the silent era was rife with drama during filming. Max Schreck, the actor who plays Count Orlok, was even rumored to be drinking blood. See the product of evil for yourself!

"It dosn't scare us, but it haunts us. It shows not that vampires can jump out of the shadows, but that evil can grow there, nourished on death." - Roger Ebert

"A masterpiece of the German silent cinema and easily the most effective version of Dracula on record." - Dave Kehr, The Chicago Reader

"It's not just a great horror movie. It's a poem of horror, a symphony of dread, a film so rapt, mysterious, and weirdly lovely, it haunts the mind long after it's over." - The Los Angeles Times

"Watching Nostferatu is like standing in the same room as death itself." - Slant Magazine
