2016 inductee to the Quilters Hall of Fame
Museum, Dr. Mazloomi is a leader in educating
the public about the diversity of interpretation,
styles and techniques among African-American
quilters. Dr. Mazloomi’s own quilts have been
exhibited extensively at the Smithsonian and
beyond. Her organization, Women of Color
Quilters Network, has been recognized by the
International Labor Department in Geneva
and the United Nations.
