Off the Page staged readings are the first step in developing a Word for Word production—taking a short story from the page to the stage. This installment is part of the 2016 Litquake Festival. Word for Word stages excerpts from Litquake Barbary Coast Award honoree Maxine Hong Kingston's books The Woman Warrior and China Men.
