Gabrielle Lamb, winner of a 2014-15 Princess Grace Award for Choreography, has won praise for her commissions from Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Milwaukee Ballet, Ballet Austin, and others. Ms. Lamb will develop and premiere a new work inspired by the woodblock prints of artist Soghra Khurasani. A female Muslim living in India, Ms. Khurasani creates striking landscapes dominated by crimson rivers and erupting volcanoes - the calm existing alongside the violent.
