SPRING SHAKESPEARE 2017 MACBETH 
By William Shakespeare The Spring Shakespeare program brings classical theatre to life! This audition-based program for students in grades 4–12 develops skills in text analysis and telling the story through emotion, physicality, and jest. This culminates in performances on Stoneham Theatre’s stage and at local libraries. In Spring 2017, our focus turns to Scotland to explore the psychological effects of prophecies and political power. Macbeth discovers that he is fated to be King. This fate, however, proves to be more of a curse than a blessing as murder, political uprisings, and mayhem ensue. This widely studied play asks: how far will we go to pursue our ambitions?
