129 Braintree Street
One-Day Workshop: Thursday, December 1, 2016 (6:00pm - 9:00pm)
Back by popular demand after a sold out workshop in the fall!
Do you wish you could be more consistent with your stand-up act? Or maybe wish you could try stand-up at least once in your life? Well, then this workshop is for you! Sue Costello has honed a sure fire method to transform your life and bring your stand-up to a new level.
Whether you are trying stand-up for the first time, or looking to tighten up your act, this seminar will help you structure your act to maximize success. The focus is to simulate an actual stand-up set, with immediate feedback, to ensure participants can better understand who they are, what they want to say, and if it is translating to their audience.
You will walk away with a thorough understanding of how to structure and put together a set, how to weave in new material, as well as how to craft impeccable callbacks. Additionally, you will get the first info on the comedy series/contest that Sue Costello is producing in Boston, this fall.
You will also learn:
1. How to develop a stand-up act
2. How, and when, to audition for stand-up clubs
3. How to put together a set for TV
4. How to turn your talent into action
5. Agent and manager vs DIY with social media, etc.
Everyone will get stand-up time, in front of the other attendees, while Sue provides coaching and feedback on your act.
***Please come prepared with a 2-3 minute set or comedic story to work on in class***
