ABOUT THE SHOW
Tooting Arts Club’s acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd comes to New York City following sold-out runs in London where the show debuted in Harrington’s Pie and Mash Shop, the oldest continuously operating pie shop in Britain. Former White House Executive Pastry Chef William “Bill” Yosses – dubbed “the Crust Master” by President Barack Obama – will serve as the production’s official pie maker throughout the New York run.

“***** CRITICS’ PICK! A BLOODY WONDER. THIS THRILLING, OVERWHELMING SWEENEY IS A FULL-COURSE MEAL”
–David Cote, Time Out New York

“A WONDROUS PRODUCTION! THE EXCEPTIONAL CAST AND TALENTED DIRECTOR OPEN SONDHEIM’S BRILLIANT LYRICS UP TO A NEW FRESHNESS.”
-The New Yorker

“A MUST-SEE SHOW.”
–Ben Brantley, The New York Times

SEATING INFO
The action of the performance takes place primarily on and around the shop’s service counter and four nearby tables. While there is no formal audience participation, certain seats in the shop – particularly those at the four tables – are in very close proximity to the action. Counter seats, in general, will provide a bit of distance to those who welcome it. The immersive nature of the show means that if you’re sitting at any of the tables or counters down in front, the action may be happening all around you. You may have to twist or turn your head from time to time.

TWISTING VIEW AND PARTIAL VEIW
Twisting View seats require audience members to reorient their position to better see the majority of the staging. Partial View seats are located in the second row of the Upstairs and have visual obstructions during parts of the production.

All tickets are available for pick up 2 hours before the performance.

PRE-SHOW PIE & MASH
When selecting and purchasing most seats, you have the option to buy tickets that include pie and mash cooked fresh daily. For an additional $22.50 (meat or veg) or $29 (beef wellington) on top of the price of your ticket, you will get one pie, a generous helping of mashed potato with an optional parsley sauced known as “liquor” and a beer, glass of wine, or non-alcoholic beverage. Pie and mash will be served communally in the pie-shop one hour and fifteen minutes prior to each performance and last pies will be served 30 minutes prior to performance.
