This year, tradition and innovation intersect with STEAM for JACCC's annual Hinamatsuri, or Girl's Day. Join us for a bento and onigiri workshop by The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and TABLE FOR TWO USA , a kimono workshop, and a Naginata (martial arts) workshop by the Southern California Naginata Federation infused with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math). Celebrate Hinamatsuri and International Women's Day on March 5th with the whole family!

Workshops are designed for children starting at age 7 and parents/guardians/aunties & uncles/godparents or grandparents. A light lunch will be included with the bento and onigiri workshop - if you have dietary restrictions please let us know. The kimono workshop will be catered to boys and girls, men and women. If you personally own any kimono or yukata and accompanying accessories and would like to bring them please let us know. Otherwise we will do our best to have multiple sizes of kimono and yukata for participants.
