MYSTERY & MAGIC: The Mysterious Benedict Society
(17) Summer Camp - Session 2 (ages 10-13)
July 24-August 4
Monday, July 24, 2017 at 9:00AM

Raven Theatre
6157 N Clark St
Chicago, IL 60660

IMAGINE, WRITE, EXPLORE, PERFORM. Raven’s Take Flight programs focus on fostering confidence and empathy in young people so that they can find the courage to connect with their peers, collaborate as an ensemble, and create art that they can share with their community. Over the course of two weeks, campers will create their own theatrical adaptations inspired by classic and popular children’s stories. Their original work will be performed for family and friends on the final day of camp.

The Mysterious Benedict Society based on the book by Trenton Lee Stewart
“Are you a gifted child looking for special opportunities?” Dozens of children respond to this peculiar ad in the newspaper and are then put through a series of mind-bending tests. Only four orphan children succeed. Their challenge—to go on a secret mission to take down an evil genius, Ledroptha Curtain, who—like all evil geniuses—wants to rule the world.

*This session runs JULY 24-AUGUST 4, Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm, with an option of extended care from 3-4pm. Culminating performance is at 3pm on AUGUST 4th.
