Music by Balint Varga Book and lyrics by Bryan D. Leys The White Witch of Rosehall is an adaptation of H.G. de Lisser's haunting novel about a young Englishman who, seeking adventure in Jamaica, finds himself drawn into a conflict between a wealthy widow and the servants who work her sugar plantation. Based on an infamous legend, The White Witch of Rosehall is a tale of voodoo and vengeance in the steamy jungles of 19th century Jamaica. A young Englishman seeks adventure on the plantation of the notorious Annie Palmer, a beautiful temptress who rules through horrid apparitions and dark island magic. Trapped in the midst of a slave revolt, the young man finds more adventure.
