This class is part of WCT's WildCard series in which students explore a new skill or aspect of theatre arts not covered in our other offerings. Students stretch their knowledge of various aspects of performing arts, build collaborative skills, and expand their creativity.

This ensemble-based class delves into the tradition of verbatim theater, pioneered by Anna Deveare Smith, exploring a social topic, selected by the students, through interviewing one another and members of their community. Students collaborate to compile interviews, devise a script, and develop characterization skills as they bring their chosen subject into sharp focus.
