A Word For Word Staged Reading:
Off the Page: Joan Didion
"Slouching Towards Bethlehem"—A collaboration with Litquake, SFAC, and MUNI
Monday, October 9, 2017 at 7:00PM

Z Space
450 Florida Street
San Francisco, CA 94110

Off the Page staged readings are the first step in developing a Word for Word production—taking a short story from the page to the stage. This installment is a 50th anniversary celebration of Joan Didion's seminal essay on the Summer of Love, "Slouching Towards Bethlehem."

Deborah Aschheim, Kate Haug and Sarah Hotchkiss, commissioned Artists for the San Francisco Arts Commission’s 2017 Art on Market Street Kiosk Poster Series, will present their work on the Summer of Love's history and cultural zeitgeist.

Suggested donation of $20 per ticket—add a gift to Word for Word when reserving your tickets online, or make a cash contribution at the door.
