The Asylum Project created and performed by Elizabeth Mozer is inspired by the now-deserted Binghamton State Hospital. The solo, 60-minute theatre piece, showcases Mozer embodying the lived experiences and personal accounts of five individuals intimately related to the Asylum.

"Elizabeth Mozer’s Asylum Project is a moving, imagistic one woman show that evokes the personal and cultural trauma of a life torn from society and committed to a psychiatric institution. The show is a masterful “telling” through physical and emotional gesture and original text that moved me to tears as Elizabeth evoked the essence of a forgotten life. Beautifully and lovingly crafted."
