The Frost Wind Ensemble and Frost Symphonic Winds perform rarely heard music by iconic Czech-born composer Karel Husa, including his masterpiece Music for Prague 1968 and Smetana Fanfare. Professor of viola Jodi Levitz, a virtuoso performer and passionate advocate of new music for this venerable instrument, premieres Love Among the Ruins for Viola, Winds, and Percussion by UM alumnus James Syler.
