Panorama
Devised and directed by Enrico Casagrande and Daniela Nicolò
Dramaturgy Erik Ehn and Daniela Nicolò
With the actors of the Great Jones Repertory Company

Part of The Public's Under The Radar Festival, NYC.

Italy’s Motus Theatre returns to La MaMa to direct and devise a new work, in collaboration with Great Jones Repertory Company, centered on issues of immigration and race. As immigration rises to the fore of national and global debate, Panorama delves into the heart of this political issue by revealing a human narrative of departure and remembrance. The performance is an open reflection upon the human need to be in movement and the right to migration.

Italy’s provocative and dynamic Motus Theatre Company was founded in 1991 by Enrico Casagrande and Daniela Nicolò. Motus sculpts its projects through action and reaction to everyday facts, both large and small. Like litmus paper, Motus feeds on contradictions of the contemporary, translating them into active material for reflection and provocation. Motus has produced numerous theatre shows and space-specific events/happenings conceived for unusual venues.
