Lakeside Pride’s 21st season—“Unity and Resistance”—continues with our Symphonic Band performing “State of the Union: Symphonic Musings on Where We Are and How We Got Here." Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles is Chicago’s premier family of performance groups for members and friends of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community; the organization offers a diverse musical experience for both its audience and its members.

The Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band is a no-audition community band composed of more than one hundred lifelong woodwind, brass, and percussion musicians. In its 21-year-history, the Symphonic Band has performed Chicago premieres of songs, been emceed by such icons as IL Rep. Greg Harris and actress Lea DeLaria, and performed to thousands. Under the direction of Kyle Rhoades and Nick White, the Symphonic Band is honored to perform for you tonight.
