Building a Real Boy sheds light the critical issues surrounding freedom of information and privacy on the internet. This show is devised from Aaron Swartz’s writing, blog and journal entries, interviews with colleagues, friends and family and court transcripts. Building a Real Boy has been created collaboratively by a team of performers, directors, writers and designers. Since computer programming and social networking were a key component to Swartz’s life, we are experimenting with utilizing social networking and new media during the development and performance of this piece. Elements of this piece will include live tweeting from audience members in the space and around the world.

Tickets: $15 in advance, $18 at the door, $12 students / seniors / ID NYC
