Whether you are interested in full-length plays, musicals, short plays, or other forms, all forms of dramatic writing have essential ideas and techniques that can be utilized to bring out the drama in any story. Through exercises (both on the page and in the space), writer Beto O'Byrne will explore theatricality and the craft of dramatic writing and students will walk away with a self-identified set of skills that they can use hone their skills and craft dynamic stories for the world to experience. The class will focus on both contemporary and 20th Century Irish playwrights from Enda Walsh to Samuel Beckett. For more about Beto's work, please visit www.betoobyrne.com.
