FW4S18 - Portraits and Printmaking (Gr K-8, with adult)
Printmaking
Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00PM

Mosesian Center for the Arts
321 Arsenal Street
Watertown, MA 02472

This workshop meets on two Saturdays, June 9 and 16 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

Looking for a special, creative experience to share with a young person in your life? These workshops are specifically designed for a child and adult to take together! All materials included.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The most interesting aspect of portraiture is what the maker chooses to illustrate about their sitter. What do you love most about a family member? What about their personality and features do you want to share with the world? In this 2-day, inter-generational workshop students create beautiful prints on paper, both on the press and by hand to take home and cherish for days to come. Explore color-mixing, drawing and shape-making while learning two very fun and versatile printmaking techniques: monotype and collograph. This course is suitable for parents, grandparents or other relatives and their children, grandchildren or niece/nephews, etc. of all levels of artistic ability.
