Mosesian Center for the Arts

This class meets Mondays from 7:15 - 9:00 pm, except April 16 and May 28. This program requires application and interview with instructor. Please email sophierich.wct@mosesianarts.org for the program application.

This class is part of WCT's Music and Movement Series which focuses on incorporating mind, body and character into one. Students develop coordination, character physicalization and vocalization.

Join WCT’s unique class for intermediate movers of all gender identities looking to challenge themselves and advance their education in physical theatre and dance. Students will gain concrete technical movement skills that can be applied to both theatre and dance performance. Dig deep into techniques of Laban, Contact Improvisation, Alexander, Viewpoints, Grotowski, Action Theatre, and Lecoq in a safe and ensemble-driven environment. Focus will be on collaboration, as learning culminates in a devised performance of both self-choreographed and instructor-set material. Returning students are invited to continue, and new students are encouraged to apply -- contact sophierich.wct@mosesianarts.org to learn more about the application process.

Student Showcase: Sat June 9, 11:00 am
