Written by Jason Odell Williams and directed by Liam Castellan, Church and State
takes a timely look at how religion, guns, and social media influence our political system. It is simultaneously funny, heartbreaking, and uplifting.
Three days before his bid for re-election in North Carolina, a Republican U.S. senator, played by Stephen Hunt, makes an off-the-cuff remark to a blogger that calls into question his belief in God. His devoutly Christian wife, played by Abby Lee, and his liberal Jewish campaign manager, played by Tess Cunningham, try to contain the damage. Joined by actor Jonathan Golombiecki and a wonderful creative team, Church and State
will not disappoint!
This production will run about 75 minutes with no intermission. Doors for each general admission performance will open 30 minutes ahead of time. If not sold out, tickets will be sold at the door for cash and check only
