Over this unique one-day session, writers will have an opportunity to complete several dramatic playwriting exercises, share their work, and read scenes from new plays as well as discuss how to learn from them. Crystal Skillman, who teaches at Pace University and ESPA Primary Stages, will be leading the workshop. She uses techniques from theatre, TV, comic books, audio books, and musical theater writing to teach new students creative methods of developing scenes. Students will emerge with a notebook full of material and a new 10 minute play.
