Collographs can be an exciting combination of relief printing, adding and subtracting layers of material, and monotype printmaking. Create printing plates mostly by re-using common household recyclable materials and printing with non-toxic, water-soluble inks. Bring in recyclables to re-purpose and a selection of items that are texturally interesting (organic or man-made: plant forms, feathers, fabric, netting, paper, etc.) and dive right in to experimenting with shape formation and color interaction.
