This is a one-time theatre intensive from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm, with a final rehearsal and performance at 6:00 pm as part of the WCT 35th Anniversary Celebration.
This class is part of our Workshops and Intensives program. Workshops and intensives are short-term, specialized classes led by local and visiting artists that help participants sharpen their skills, simply have some fun, or try something new!
Devising is the process of creating as an ensemble guided by a theme instead of a script. In this intensive, participants will explore the theme of theatre as a home and create a short piece to be performed at the WCT 35th Anniversary Celebration! Participants in this workshop will experiment, share, move, and collaborate, with the goal of assembling a unique, mini-theatre piece expressing their relationship to the theme of home. Be a part of this powerful moment and share your story about how and why the theater is YOUR home! NOTE: The ensemble will gather together and then split into two groups by age.
