This class is part of our Workshops and Intensives program. Workshops and intensives are short-term, specialized classes led by local and visiting artists that help participants sharpen their skills, simply have some fun, or try something new!

Artists at all stages of their development create collections of their work. High school artists create a portfolio of their work for the Advanced Placement Exam or for their own personal growth. This workshop introduces students to the foundations of putting a portfolio together to meet personal goals in the visual arts. Participants engage in discussions on portfolio presentation, create multiple works interpreting a specific theme and utilize artistic instruction to further skill development. This course is designed for high school students exploring careers in design, theatre craft, fine arts, photography and architecture as well as for students who want to take their work to a higher level.
