This class is part of our Write From the Heart program. Motivated by topics that are close to their hearts, participants will experience the exciting growth of narrative from concept to execution as they put their ideas on paper and then see them brought to life in images or on stage.

This class explores the basics of comics as a medium--from idea to execution. The course focuses both on storytelling and drawing skills--from developing stories and characters to building and drawing figures, environments, and actions that push a story forward. Whether comedic or dramatic, fictional or true-to-life, poetic or action-driven, students learn the skills to tell their stories, their way.
