This class is part of our Experiment With... program. Participants will develop new skills or further their confidence in a favorite area! From drawing to sculpting and creative movement to Shakespeare, participants can experiment with a world of artistic possibilities.

Join WCT’s unique class for intermediate movers of all gender identities looking to challenge themselves and advance their education in physical theatre and dance. Students will gain concrete technical movement skills that can be applied to both theatre and dance performance. Dig deep into techniques of Laban, Contact Improvisation, Alexander, Viewpoints, Grotowski, Action Theatre, and Lecoq in a safe and ensemble-driven environment. Focus will be on collaboration, as learning culminates in a devised performance of both self-choreographed and instructor-set material. Movement Lab culminates in a showcase at the end of each class season (fall, winter, spring), as well as a cumulative showcase in June featuring all of the year’s participants. Returning students are invited to continue, and new students are encouraged to apply.
