This class is part of our Makerspace Series. Clay, sewing, jewelry-making, and prop creation are just a few of the exciting areas that participants may explore! Makerspace participants work directly with teaching artists to develop and hone their skill as they design and craft objects with their own hands.

Based on the popularity of this MCA class, we’ve added a second section! Learn to wedge clay, use the potter’s wheel, and experiment with basic forming and glazing techniques. Participants create bowls, alter silhouettes, and attach functional handles. Artists may repeat this class to continue building skill and scope in clay through continually changing themes and projects. Continuing students embark on increasingly complex forms as well as surface treatments. Price includes clay and firing of all creations. (Limit 7 students)
