Set in 1969 during the first moon landing, Grey Rock tells the story of a young Palestinian man determined to go to the moon with help from his neighbors in a small West Bank village. Working with Palestinian actors from the West Bank and from inside the 1948 borders, director and playwright Amir Nizar Zuabi creates a humorous, fantastical play exploring ways US culture has permeated and influenced Palestinian culture.
