We'd like to invite you to join us for our first KOMPOT of the 2018/19 school year on SEPTEMBER 30TH to celebrate Sukkot together with other RU families! Zhenya Lopatnik, artist and educator, will create a unique sand story around the holiday Sukkot. According to Jewish tradition, on Sukkot imaginary heroes of all ages come to visit the Sukkah. These heroes are called “ushpizin” – “guests." Everyone will gather inside the Sukkah to watch the exciting story unfold; different animals will come to teach us how to survive in the desert and make new friends! Following the performance, there will be an Arts & Crafts activity around the Sukkah. Location: Museum Of Jewish Heritage, Events Hall (2nd Floor) Time: 11-1PM $30 PER family Each KOMPOT is a unique and delicious experience for Russian Jewish families with children ages 2-8. KOMPOT is made possible with the generous support of PJ Library of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation in partnership with Genesis Philanthropy Group FolksbieneRU division is a partnership initiative of National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene and Genesis Philanthropy Group.
