An evening dedicated to exploring the issues of juvenile detention

Director Kaneza Schaal and her team will present a sneak peek from the library of media and textual materials that have influenced the process of developing JACK &, which will have its New York premiere at BAM Next Wave Festival from October 17 - 20.

In addition the event will feature a special screening of the HBO Documentary Raised in the System as well as a community discussion exploring the issues of juvenile detention and New York’s landmark Raise the Age policy. A portion of each ticket supports LUMBERYARD’s Fresh Start Program.


Your ticket includes:

- Performance of excerpts from Kaneza Schaal's JACK &
- Film Screening of HBO Vice's Raised in the System
- Panel Discussion featuring Dominic Dupont featured in Raised in the System, Assemblymember Didi Barrett, Kaneza Schaal and others.
- Reception to mix and mingle with artists and panelists


Proceeds from this event benefit Fresh Start, LUMBERYARDS's arts program for incarcerated youth.
