A Benefit for The Kerouac Project & The American Poets Corner

David Amram, legendary composer and early Kerouac collaborator, and his band perform Beat-era and original classics, as Oscar-nominated actor Michael Shannon, actress Kate Arrington, poet/actor Frank Messina, and poet Quincy Troupe read the works of Jack Kerouac. Proceeds support the Jack Kerouac Project of Orlando, Florida, home to nearly 60 writers since 2000, and The American Poets Corner, housed at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. This event also marks the beginning of a month-long celebration of David Amram's 88th birthday (November 17). Happy birthday David!
