SYNOPSIS

Winner of the Palme d’Or at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, Shoplifters is a tender and complicated drama about a marginalized family who steal to survive in a daunting urban landscape. A shared struggle against economic forces binds the group together, but also raises serious challenges to their unity in this wise and compassionate social critique.
