SYNOPSIS

Set in a North Dakota fracking boomtown, this feminist frontier thriller forces our hero to choose between a probation violation and saving the family home for her newly pregnant sister. Running prescription pills across the Canadian border for her mother’s pain relief becomes a local drug dealership that gets Ollie (Tessa Thompson) busted, and just as she’s ready to leave her old life for a promising new path, her mother dies and her young sister needs the over-mortgaged home for her new family. A “one-last-crime caper” set against the current opioid crisis makes for an exciting and sobering modern American western.
