SYNOPSIS

Winner of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard Prize, this “troll love story,” written by John Ajvide Lindquist (Let The Right One In), blends the supernatural with social realism in a gripping drama that’s both disturbing and grounded. A vaguely feral malformed customs agent with a sixth sense for human emotion—she literally smells fear, guilt, and shame on disembarking ferry passengers—meets her match in Vore, an equally omniscient creature. From there, it’s a dark, wild Nordic ride.
