Billy Wilder’s mordant masterpiece is simply one of the greatest film noirs ever made. Fred MacMurray plays Walter Neff, a cynical insurance salesman willingly seduced by femme fatale Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck) into planning and executing the murder of her newly insured husband. With Edward G. Robinson as Neff’s suspicious colleague, the claims agent Barton Keyes. Fred’s daughter, Kate MacMurray, will be in attendance to introduce the film.
