SYNOPSIS

Vertigo-inducing camerawork and personal turmoil escalate tensions as mountaineer Alex Honnold mounts an unprecedented attempt at the seemingly impossible—scaling the 3,200 foot sheer rock face of Yosemite’s Él Capitan by hand, without benefit of ropes or rigs. A pursuit that ends in perfection or death, Honnold’s climb is recognized as one of the greatest athletic achievements of all time.
